Find and check the EAN code
Electricity and natural gas each have their own code. It belongs to the energy connection point, not to the physical meter.
The EAN code is required
EAN code, meter number and meter reading
- EAN code: the identifier of the energy connection point.
- Meter number: the identifier on or near the physical meter.
- Meter reading: the visible consumption or injection value on the display.
Where can you find the code?
- on your energy bill;
- in your energy contract or customer area;
- in information from your own energy supplier;
- through your distribution system operator if you do not have the code.
What does Energieovername check?
Spaces and separators are removed. Energieovername never changes or completes digits itself. You need a valid EAN code before you can confirm your details.
